Mobile is growing. Period. In 2011, Google reported that it was selling 350,000 Android mobile devices…every day! That doesn’t include iPhones, iPad’s, Blackberry’s or any other mobile device. It seems like everyone has a smartphone nowadays, and they serve all kinds of purposes. Finding the closest subway station, a nearby restaurant, or directions to the closest barber shop. When your customer needs to connect with you, we’ll make sure your site is ready.
Nearly every major website has a mobile-optimized version. Unfortunately, if someone visits your website from their mobile device and can’t see the content, you’ve already lost that customer.
Luckily, having a website that can be easily viewed from a mobile device isn’t as involved as you might think. In reality, some sites may already be “mobile-ready”, but there are different levels.
Mobile-ready: No Flash content, all web pages validated to W3C standards. User will have to zoom around the page to read content, and downloading the page may take longer on a cellular connection than a mobile-optimized site, but there’s nothing stopping them from reading it. Great for smaller budgets.
Mobile-optimized: All pages have been optimized for mobile devices; browser/device detection occurs when site is visited and user is routed to mobile version.
Native-like application: Users that visit your site from iOS or Android devices will see an interface that looks and feels like a native application.
